Update - Delayed and Undelivered emails

Further to our announcement regarding email delivery delays and issues, we have undertaken an in-depth analysis and identified that in some circumstances you may not have received emails sent to you from outside of the University and the sender may not have been told that their email wasn't delivered. If you were expecting to receive an email between ~12pm on Friday and ~12pm on Monday you may wish to check whether the message was sent.
The defective email server remains isolated and we are developing and testing the process that will be followed to remove it from the email infrastructure in a controlled manner. It is currently anticipated this will take place on Monday 22 January subject to appropriate change management approval. We do not anticipate any further disruption and will confirm when the work has been completed.
