Students: Urgent action required - Password reset

Urgent Password Reset

If you have received an email requesting you to reset your password before Monday 12th December, please take immediate action.

Failure to action this will result in your current password being revoked, preventing you from accessing University Wi-Fi (eduroam), lab computers, Learn and University email until you contact IT Services using the details below.

To avoid this please can you change the password to your University account before Monday 12th December. Guidance on how to do this is available here: http://www.lboro.ac.uk/services/it/student/newstudent/useraccount/guidance/.

Why am I being asked to do this?

IT Services have identified some University student accounts where malicious attackers have obtained usernames and passwords. We are contacting you directly to inform you that your account has been identified as one of these.

To ensure your account is not accessed by anyone for malicious purposes, please can you change the password to your University account before the deadline date. If your password has not been changed before this date, IT Services will be forced to change your password at which point you will lose access to University Services until you contact IT Services 01509 222 333 or visit the PC Clinic in the library to set a new password.
