Staff counselling service

Helping you to deal with life’s challenges

People use counselling for all kinds of different reasons. You don't need to be in a crisis or have a work related issue to use the service. We have a team of experienced counsellors who will work with you to find ways forward, make decisions, gain new perspectives, discover solutions and come to terms with and manage challenging life events.

As an in-house service the counselling team have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the particular pressures and difficulties associated with a working in a university environment. They also understand the kind of challenges that everyone can face in their day to day lives.

The counselling service is available to all University employees and gives you the opportunity to talk confidentially to a professionally trained person who is outside your immediate situation.

What the counselling service offer:

• An in-house team of counsellors

• An initial appointment to assess your needs

• Up to six sessions of one to one counselling per year

• Counselling online or face to face.
