Family Leave Policy and Procedure

Loughborough University is committed to ensuring that staff are able to balance their work and personal life. The Family Leave Policy and Procedure, which applies to all employees of Loughborough University, sets out leave arrangements for staff with children and dependent adults. Mentoring Schemes

Our highly successful Research Staff Mentoring Scheme, co-ordinated by the Careers Network, Research Office and Staff Development is now in its 5th year and offers the opportunity to enhance personal or career development, either as a mentee or mentor.

Mentoring for probationary academic including the assignment of an experiences probation adviser is well-established at Loughborough University, ensuring that first career steps have the right trajectory.


Loughborough University Research Staff Association

Loughborough University Research Staff Association (LURSA) was formed in 2011. Their aim is to give Loughborough University Research Staff support, representation, networking and training opportunities. All research staff are welcome to contribute and get involved.


GenderTime

The aim of the GenderTime research project is to identify and implement the best systemic approach to increase the participation and career advancement of women researchers in selected institutions where self-tailored action plans are implemented.
