Careers fairs and on-campus events
Monday 24th October and Tuesday 25th October 2016, 11am – 4pm
Sir David Wallace Sports Hall
The Autumn Fair is the University’s flagship event and is the biggest one-day university careers fair in the UK! In 2015, we attracted over 6000 students and 210 exhibitors.
Students from all year groups and all disciplines are invited to attend the fair, giving you an excellent opportunity to engage with talented students and raise the profile of your organisation at a key time in the recruitment calendar.
We welcome organisations from many sectors, and if you have immediate or future vacancies, provide further study options e.g. postgraduate programmes or are looking to build an awareness of your company then this is the ideal event to attend.
You can see videos of the 2014 and 2015 Autumn Fairs on the sidebar.

“Good cross section of placement/graduates/disciplines. We’ve noticed a lot more students seeking us out - it felt like good increase in visibility and awareness of our brand.” - Johnson & Johnson
“Excellent calibre of students – very impressive!” - HSBC
TalkSport is an event that provides students and employers with the opportunity to network with each other. This is beneficial for students as it allows them to ask questions of successful sport professionals, gather information, and where appropriate put themselves forward for further work experience. In addition employers get the chance to promote their companies, share their own experiences with interested students, and network with other employers in their industry.
This event is focussed towards students studying sports related degree programmes at Loughborough University (including Sports Science, Sport Management and Sports Technology). However the event will be open to all students and staff from across the university who are interested in pursuing a career in sports-related industries.
In the past TalkSport has generated very positive feedback from both students and employers:
‘Insightful, interesting and dynamic’ – Sports Management Student
‘Impressive, diverse and positive, very happy with the response’ – Attending Organisation

In February 2016, we held our Spring Graduate Recruitment and Placement Fair which was once again a great success. We welcomed over 100 exhibitors from SMEs to multinational companies and over 1900 students seeking graduate, placement and vacation opportunities on the day.
Students from all years and disciplines attend the fair, with large numbers of first years using the day as an opportunity to start engaging with employers and planning their career early.
Feedback from recruiters at the Spring Graduate Recruitment and Placement 2016 Fair was very positive.

In 2015 we led the way for UK Universities, holding our inaugural Placement Fair for first year students preparing to apply for placement opportunities. This event welcomed representatives from 25 of the largest employers in the country to offer advice and guidance to the 900 students who attended. Following another very successful event in April 2016, we are now planning the next event in May 2017.
The Placement Fair gives employers the opportunity to get “ahead of the game” and engage early with students looking to secure a placement at the end of their second year. This fair is suitable for employers of all sizes with placement opportunities in any sector but there will be particular interest in Engineering, Finance, IT and Retail.
