Autumn Graduate Recruitment and Placement Fair 2016

Monday 24th October and Tuesday 25th October 2016, 11am – 4pm
Sir David Wallace Sports Hall

The Autumn Fair is the University’s flagship event and is the biggest one-day university careers fair in the UK! In 2015, we attracted over 6000 students and 210 exhibitors.

Students from all year groups and all disciplines are invited to attend the fair, giving you an excellent opportunity to engage with talented students and raise the profile of your organisation at a key time in the recruitment calendar.

We welcome organisations from many sectors, and if you have immediate or future vacancies, provide further study options e.g. postgraduate programmes or are looking to build an awareness of your company then this is the ideal event to attend.

You can see videos of the 2014 and 2015 Autumn Fairs on the sidebar.

TalkSport 2017

Thursday 9th February 2017, 11am – 3pm
James France Exhibition Area

TalkSport is an event which provides students and employers with the opportunity to network with each other. This is beneficial for students as it allows them to ask questions of successful sport professionals, gather information, and where appropriate put themselves forward for further work experience. In addition employers get the chance to promote their companies, share their own experiences with interested students, and network with other employers in their industry.

In the past TalkSport has generated very positive feedback from both students and employers:

“We’ve had lots of students coming by, it’s probably our best one of the year […] the students are very proactive. They seem to know a lot beforehand to set them up in a good position to ask the right questions and know where to go when they get here straight away. We’ve had lots of sign ups, lots of expressions of interest, and fortunately the people are coming with the right qualifications, the right experience and obviously the right attitude”  --  Activate

“A constant flow of people, and most importantly the right people” -- Thomas Cook

“What we’ve found is the people we’ve been speaking to have done their homework, we’ve found that the infrastructure here is great and that we’ve actually spoken to some really promising candidates, so we’re very grateful to Loughborough University” -- Two Circles

First Year Placement Fair 2017

Wednesday 10th May 2017, 11am – 3pm
James France Exhibition Area

In 2015 we led the way for UK Universities, holding our inaugural Placement Fair for first year students preparing to apply for placement opportunities. This event welcomed representatives from 25 of the largest employers in the country to offer advice and guidance to the 900 students who attended. Following another very successful event in April 2016, we are now planning the next event in May 2017.

The Placement Fair gives employers the opportunity to get “ahead of the game” and engage early with students looking to secure a placement at the end of their second year. This fair is suitable for employers of all sizes with placement opportunities in any sector but there will be particular interest in Engineering, Finance, IT and Retail.
