Advertising your job opportunities on our online vacancy portal, Careers Online, is a great start to your recruitment campaign at Loughborough University.
Careers Online is free to use and has over 15,000 active users. All of our current students and graduates can access this system. In the past academic year alone, adverts placed on Careers Online have been viewed over 50,000 times by our students and graduates.
We take vacancy advertising one step further and offer employers a comprehensive range of promotional opportunities to help generate large numbers of good quality applications from our students and graduates.
Advertising your Opportunities
Our vacancy portal (Careers Online) allows you to advertise opportunities to Loughborough University students and graduates. You can also use the portal to manage your organisation profile and manage existing opportunities.
Login or request an account to post your vacancies on our portal. If you would like to discuss your opportunity or are having any problems accessing the vacancy database, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can use Careers Online to advertise a range of opportunities including:
Graduate roles – immediate start vacancies for recent graduates and vacancies aimed at final year students who will graduate in the summer.
Industrial Placements - aimed at penultimate year students who are looking for a 12 month work placement (summer to summer) during the third year of their course.
Internships - aimed at students seeking professional level work during the Christmas, Easter and summer vacation periods.
We also advertise other opportunities including volunteering, work-shadowing, company insight schemes and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
Important Information for Employers:
All vacancies advertised on Careers Online are subject to review and approval by a member of the Employer Engagement team before they are published to students. We are guided by National Minimum Wage legislation and the AGCAS position statement on unpaid internships when reviewing your roles.
Promoting your Opportunities
Weekly Jobs Bulletins
We promote all graduate, placement and internship opportunities added to Careers Online through a weekly bulletin, which features a sector breakdown of current opportunities. These are distributed through a number of channels including through departmental contacts, social media and online noticeboards.
Our Twitter account, @LboroJobNetwork, is used to promote job opportunities and events on behalf of employers. With a following of over 5000, it is a very effective way of reaching a wide range of students who are actively seeking employment. Social Media Sponsorship
If your organisation is advertising a number of roles, you have the opportunity to ‘take over’ our Twitter feed for a week. As the employer sponsor for our Twitter feed, you will be able to greatly increase the visibility of your opportunities through a total of 21 tweets and a header photo of your choice.

Targeted emails are a cost effective way of ensuring you are maximising your exposure to relevant student groups. Through this service, you can target students by year group, course, and other criteria such as nationality.
Employers have found that this service works very well to increase applications for current roles, but it is also a great tool to boost attendance at an upcoming employer event or attraction on campus.
