About Us

Employer Engagement Team

The Employer Engagement Team is here to help raise your organisation's profile in a variety of ways, route information to the appropriate academic departments and student groups, and provide facilities for presentations and graduate recruitment activities. Campus visits are welcome and we can also arrange for a member of staff to visit you to discuss your needs.

Employer Engagement Manager

Responsibilities

Caroline previously worked as an Employer Engagement Associate and prior to that as Events Coordinator within the Careers Network. 

Caroline is responsible for the leadership and management of the Employer Engagement Team.  She leads the team through the generation and maintenance of collaborative relationships with all employers. Additionally she advises graduate recruiters and works with them in the role of consultant to develop an engagement strategy for raising their profile on campus.

Caroline oversees a team dedicated to delivering excellent service through event management, marketing, recruitment consultation and vacancy advertising to employers.  She also contributes to the Careers Network Management Team.

Sophie Kanabar

Employer Engagement Associate, Smaller Businesses and International Employers

Responsibilities

Sophie joined the Careers Network having previously worked in the Further Education Sector, Chambers of Commerce and Banking & Finance. She is responsible for Relationships and Business Development for Loughborough University, in particular for the small to medium sized employers (SMEs), to aid business growth and provide high calibre students and graduates for recruitment, placements and internships. In addition she will be looking to develop new and existing relationships with larger regional, national and international employers.

Sophie holds Professional Qualifications in Business & Finance.

Employer Engagement Associate (Placements and Work Based Learning)

Responsibilities

Emma joined the Employer Engagement team in July 2016.  She is responsible for employer engagement activity, with a particular focus on expanding the placement and work-based learning opportunities that are available for students from the following disciplines:

Business and Economics

Arts

English and Drama

Geography

History

Politics and International Relations

Social Sciences

Psychology

Sport and Human Biology

Marc Valentine BA(Hons) Law

Employer Engagement Events and Vacancy Co-ordinator

Responsibilities

Marc joined Loughborough University in March 2015 having been self-employed for over two years.

Marc organises events on campus, raising the profile of employers amongst our students and graduates and also works with employers to advertise and monitor vacancies via the Careers Online system.

Marc has a 2:1 in Law from the University of Nottingham in 2012.

Sarah Crawford BSc Human Biology

Employer Engagement Assistant

Responsibilities

Sarah joined the Employer Engagement team in August 2017 and is also currently studying for an MBA in Business Analytics and Management at Loughborough University.  Sarah graduated from Loughborough University in 2016 with a BSc in Human Biology. Sarah is responsible for supporting employer engagement activity, with a particular focus on expanding the placement and work-based learning opportunities that are available for students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating prospect research for Employer Engagement Associate for East Park Schools
  • Supporting events organisation, primarily for East Park caseload
  • Updating and reporting on all Employer Engagement statistics

 

 

Daniella Padula-Dhillon BA (Hons) Business Administration MA Education

Employer Engagement Administrator

Responsibilities

Administrative and customer service support for the on-campus graduate and placement recruitment activities and events

Daniella joined Loughborough University in February 2016.  She has previously worked in cultural relations and within higher education institutions.  Her experience includes working with international partnerships and programmes, study abroad, project design and management.  Daniella obtained a BA (Hons) Business Administration, holds an MA Education and completed coursework towards a PhD in the field of Higher Education at Boston College in America.
