I have worked for the Centre for Academic Practice formerly the Teaching Centre in various roles since 2009. Initially providing support for participants on the Associate Teaching Course (ATC), and more recently working with new lecturers on the New Lecturers Course (NLC). I formally joined the department in 2013 and now coordinate the ATC, deliver some of the NLC training courses, and undertake teaching observations and assessments.

Having worked as a skills trainer with PGR’s at Loughborough for many years, I currently hold my Centre for Academic Practice responsibilities alongside a skills development business which demonstrates my interest in helping people develop their own skills. I am particularly interested in how research and teaching co-exist within the university environment, and how the enterprise agenda is impacting on the academic role.
