Sarah joined the Centre for Academic Practice in May 2016.  Sarah previously worked for the Centre for Engineering and Design Education (CEDE) where she was responsible for developing and enhancing engineering education activity.  Within CEDE Sarah managed a programme of pedagogic research, development and enhancement projects, working in conjunction with academics and other members of the CEDE team; producing guidance, learning resources and making recommendations that fed into the Engineering School’s strategy.  Sarah was also responsible for providing one-to-one discipline specific expertise including advice on academic practice and engineering education research.

Prior to working for CEDE Sarah worked for Loughborough University’s Mathematics Education Centre, the engCETL, and the Teaching Centre (now the Centre for Academic Practice).

Sarah has a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from Loughborough University and worked in industry for an exhaust system supplier to Nissan Cars.
