Accommodation for new students for 2017 entry

Undergraduate and Foundation Art & Design students still awaiting an offer

We will be offering rooms to first year students any time up to the start of term.

If we are unable to offer you a permanent room in University Halls by this time, we have reserved you temporary University accommodation with a guarantee of a room in University hall accommodation as vacancies arise. Every year we have a number of students that either do not arrive or withdraw from hall places for a variety of reasons. We will therefore be transferring you as soon as we have identified vacancies on the campus.

We confirm that there will be no requirement to refer any undergraduate student to an off campus approved provider.

We do appreciate that this is a stressful time for both students and parents and will endeavour to keep students updated on the current situation.

We should have contacted you with an offer of temporary accommodation, if you have not received an email from us please contact the office.

If you no longer require hall accommodation, please let us know so that we can cancel your application.

Undergraduate students who have accepted a room

Now that you have successfully reserved a room in University Halls, you are able to complete your post contractual requirements.

Please log into your account at https://hallapply.lboro.ac.uk/ to:

Complete our online Living in Halls Induction and Arrival Slot booking.

Pay the required room bond of £150.  Room Bonds can be paid online using your University Student ID number.

You will be sent a verification email for each process once they have been successfully completed.  Both requirements must be completed prior to arrival in order to collect your keys and occupy your room.

Important information: once you have registered at Loughborough - all emails will be sent to your Loughborough student email account.

Please note:

First Year Students: In order to take part in Fresher activities, you are expected to arrive between Tuesday 26 September and Thursday 28 September (depending on your Hall).  Please book your arrival slot for your anticipated time of arrival at Loughborough on your Halls arrival day (your Licence commencement date).  Please aim to arrive prior to 4pm in order to attend your Hall Welcome event.

If you will be arriving later than your hall arrival day, please book a slot on your actual arrival date so that we ensure your room is held for you - rooms will not be held for arrivals after 1 October 2017 unless agreed in advance (under exceptional circumstances only).

First Year International students: If you have booked a flight which is due to arrive one day earlier than your 'designated arrival day', please contact us with your flight number and arrival airport - you will be charged an additional £20 early arrival fee.  If you will be arriving in the UK earlier, please arrange alternative temporary accommodation.

Prior to arrival, we will email you with further information and your 'arrival pass'.

We look forward to welcoming you to Loughborough!

Erasmus / Exchange and direct entry students still awaiting an offer

One Semester students:  As advised, currently all designated rooms reserved for your course in University Halls have been offered, however we appreciate that it is difficult to find off-campus accommodation for One Semester only; therefore we have reserved you a room in alternative University owned accommodation.

We will email you shortly with further details on your allocated accommodation provision.

Full Year students:  As advised, currently all designated rooms reserved for your course have been allocated, however we may be able to offer you a temporary room in University owned accommodation with a guarantee of a room in University hall accommodation as vacancies arise.

Please contact us if you still require accommodation.

If you no longer require hall accommodation, please let us know so that we can cancel your application.

Postgraduate Taught or Research students

As advised, all of our Postgraduate accommodation on campus has currently been offered.  However we are very committed to assisting all students to obtain accommodation in Loughborough.

We should have contacted you with an offer of temporary accommodation, if you have not received an email from us please contact the office.

Each year we have a few postgraduate students who have visa issues or do not arrive, so rooms do become available after the first week of term.  Hopefully by offering you temporary accommodation this will give you the time to be offered a room on campus (if vacancies arise) or alternatively seek permanent accommodation in town.

If you no longer require hall accommodation, please let us know so that we can cancel your application.
