Accommodation for new students for 2017 entry

Undergraduate Conditional students

Already registered online: After the A Level results in August, if you meet the conditions of our offer and become unconditional firm - you will be able to reserve a room in hall from either Thursday 17 or Friday 18 August depending on your course and gender as per the Application timetable. You should have received an email from us advising how and when you can apply.

Now you have registered, you have completed the process at this stage.   The ‘My Details’ page will advise you that applications are not currently available for your course.  You will not be able to proceed and Room Reserve prior to Thursday 17 August. Room Reservation will be available until Wednesday 30 August. 

Providing that you have completed your online registration prior to 31 July 2017, Loughborough University will guarantee you a room in University accommodation (excluding students attending the Loughborough Foundation Art & Design course).

This guarantee is for the first year of study only.

Not registered and still wish to apply: You will be able to register and set your preferences for accommodation from either Thursday 17 or Friday 18 August depending on your course and gender as per the Application timetable. You should have received an email from us advising how and when you can apply.  Although you have not met your guarantee, the University is hopeful that we can still offer you University accommodation.

Undergraduate Unconditional students

Already reserved your room: Your Room Bond will be payable when you have been allocated your University ID number. You will receive your registration information containing your University ID number approximately 6 weeks prior to the start of term.  Please use this number to pay your Room Bond in order to secure your accommodation. 

Not registered and still wish to apply: You will be able to register and set your preferences for accommodation from either Thursday 17 or Friday 18 August depending on your course and gender as per the Application timetable. You should have received an email from us advising how and when you can apply.  Although you have not met your guarantee, the University is hopeful that we can still offer you University ccommodation.

Undergraduate Insurance students

If you are not accepted by your firm choice university when you receive your results, but have still met the conditions of our offer, you will become unconditional at Loughborough and be eligible to apply for accommodation.  

You will be able to register and set your preferences for accommodation from 10:00 on Monday 21 August as per the Application timetable.

You will not be able to apply for accommodation until you are accepted at Loughborough. 

Our Promise - halls accommodation is not guaranteed, however we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation either on campus or by referral to an off campus approved provider.

Undergraduate students accepted through Clearing or Adjustment

Once your academic place at Loughborough has been accepted and UCAS Track has been updated, you will be eligible to apply for accommodation. 

You will be able to register and set your preferences for accommodation from 10:00 on Monday 21 August as per the Application timetable.

Our Guarantee – providing that you apply between Monday 21 August and Wednesday 30 August 2017, we will guarantee you a room in University accommodation.  If you apply after this date, we still promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation either on campus or by referral to an off campus approved provider.  

Foundation Art & Design students  

If you have a Conditional offer: once you have met the conditions of our offer and have been accepted at Loughborough, you will be able to reserve a room in hall from 10:00 on Monday 21 August 2017 as per the Application timetable You should have received an email from us advising how and when you can apply.

Room Reservation will be available until Wednesday 30 August

Halls accommodation is not guaranteed, however we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation.  A certain number of rooms in University Halls are designated for your course, however as these rooms are limited, we advise you to reserve your accommodation from the available rooms.  Students who live within the Loughborough post code area will not be eligible to apply.

Erasmus / Exchange and direct entry students

Applications open:  You are able to Register and set your preferences online.

Halls accommodation is not guaranteed, however we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation.  A certain number of rooms in University Halls are designated for your course, however as these rooms are limited, offers will be made subject to availability.

You should receive an email from the Student Accommodation Centre to advise you how to apply.  Please note that offers of accommodation will not be made until after 1 September 2017.

Postgraduate Taught or Research students

Applications open - you can apply on line now. Subject to availability offers will be made once you have accepted a firm offer for your course.  Please see Prospective Students – Postgraduate  information and How to Apply as a postgraduate student.
