The Student Support Centre is home to the English Language Support Service and the Student Advice and Support Service.
The primary aim of the English Language Support Service is to help students to acquire the English Language and Study Skills that they need to succeed on their academic programmes at Loughborough. Please see here for more information about our presessional and insessional courses.
The Student Advice and Support Service offers a free, confidential information and advice service for all students, covering housing, finance, legal matters and other issues. We also offer a range of support for international students, including immigration advice, assistance with visa applications and police registrations, and general help with settling into life in the UK. Mission
Helping students to help themselves. We support students by:
- providing professional and friendly advice
- providing effective and targeted language support
- listening and responding to their needs
- building their confidence
- organising events and activities which enable them to meet new people and adapt to life in Loughborough.
