Welcome to the English Language Support Services webpage. The primary aim of the ELSS is to assist students with the English language and Study Skills that they need to succeed on their academic programme.
We currently run a range of in-sessional and pre-sessional courses for international students and home students in addition to bespoke course for overseas education providers and businesses.
Quality Assurance
All of our teaching staff are qualified and highly experienced EAP teachers and our pre-sessional courses are accredited by the British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BALEAP) which is the accrediting body for English for Academic Purposes.
The BALEAP accreditation inspection assesses the whole student experience, from pre-arrival information and support at induction, through the classroom experience, teaching and assessment, to welfare provision, accommodation and the transition into university life.
