Anne-Marie Culhane is an artist, activist and co-founder of Abundance, a community urban fruit harvesting project that re-distributes waste and unwanted local fruit. These dispersed orchards exist in our towns, villages and cities in gardens, wastelands and public spaces. Abundance harvest this seasonal glut of fruit, celebrating this bounty of apples, pears, plums, greengages, cherries and hazelnuts. Abundance is one of a number of projects Anne-Marie has catalysed which celebrate our interdependence and explore a deeper connection to earth through action, reflection and creativity. In her talk she will share experiences, learning and ideas along with wider artistic, political and social motivations. LAPC 2010 will feature invited talks from world experts, research posters, a technical exhibition, free computer simulation workshops and excellent networking opportunities for attendees. Taking place from 8 - 9 November, it will be held in the University's Burleigh Court four star Hotel. The conference is run for the good of the electromagnetic community with a not-for-profit ethos, enabling the cost of attending the event to be kept to a minimum.
