Signal Processing for Diagnostic Medicine
12 September 2013 - 10.30 a.m.
Guest Lecture by IEEE Signal Processing Society Distinguished Lecturer Professor V. John Mathews
Analysis of commonly measured physiological signals can provide many clues about a person’s health. An example is heart rate variability. Heart rate variability and other measures of complexity of the heart rate behavior over time have been used in health assessment of adults, children and fetuses.
Professor Mathews looks at how signal processing techniques can improve monitoring methods and results.
