EMOTIVE Workshop

Ten tickets are available for a Social Media Workshop hosted by Prof. Tom Jackson, Dr Ann O'Brien and Dr Martin Skyora at the Department of Information Science.
This event will revolve around issues such as monitoring social media and overcoming obstacles, the future of monitoring social media, various alternative methods for detecting emotions; in particular our DSTL/ EPSRC funded project: EMOTIVE (Extracting the Meaning of Terse Information in a Geo-Visualisation of Emotion). This event will host a range of national organisations in the fields of information science, security, and defence; bringing together academics and industry experts. We very much hope you'll be able to join us for what promises to be a lively day of discussion.
The workshop will run from 11 am till 3 pm with a half hour lunch break in which we will provide a buffet lunch. There is no workshop registration fee and lunch and refreshments are courtesy of Loughborough University.
