The Arab Spring and the Fall of Gaddafi: an eyewitness account

Loughborough graduate and Libyan national, Anas El Gomati, returns to the University on Monday to provide a first-hand account of the Libyan conflict and the fall of Gaddafi.

A graduate of the Department of Politics, History and International Relations, Anas El Gomati is a Middle East analyst and Director of the Sadeq Institute based in Tripoli – a non-profit organisation geared towards inspiring positive change in the wake of the February revolution in Libya.

He is actively involved in the debate about the future of Libya and will give a talk on his personal impressions of the Arab Spring, the fall of Gaddafi and the future role the West could or should play in it.

The talk will take place in the Brockington Building on campus at 5pm on Monday 28 November.
