Updated and improved University community website goes live

Loughborough University has updated its community website with new content and a brand new design.

The website, which is now live, was originally launched back in 2003.  It is designed to include in one place all the information local residents might want to know about the University.  It includes details of the facilities on campus open for community use, information on events taking place open to the public, details of the University’s Community Donations Fund and highlights progress on important development projects.   Visitors can also download copies of the Community Newsletter.

The site also includes information about how the University seeks to manage key issues for local residents and explains the processes residents should follow should they have an enquiry or complaint.  There is a section dedicated to information to students and links to some of the University’s key community partners such as Charnwood Borough Council, Leicestershire Constabulary and Voluntary Action Charnwood.

The new pages can be reached by logging on to: www.lboro.ac.uk/community

The new design is part of ongoing development of the University’s website.  The project was undertaken in-house within the University’s Marketing and Communications Department with Alison Barlow, Community Relations Officer working closely with Jonathan Walters, Web Development Manager.

Alison comments:  “I am delighted with the content and style of the new website.  We hope to add further to it in due course.  I would welcome any feedback from local residents with regard to what they might like to see on the site in future. “
