Winning marketing strategies for local businesses

Businesses across the East Midlands are invited to benefit from a Marketing for Success workshop at Loughborough University on 7 February, which will help companies discover their ideal clients and customers and identify winning strategies for their business.

Presented by Alastair Morrison, a skilled business coach from Coach for Success Ltd, the afternoon workshop will help all attendees detect where their own business is positioned in the marketing cycle and where to focus attention, including how to develop a marketing message to attract target customers.

This workshop is the latest in a series of monthly Loughborough Enterprise Club (LEC) events, the local business support network run by Loughborough University Enterprises Ltd.

“Loughborough Enterprise Club offers local businesses an invaluable opportunity for networking and access to business support,” says Emma Nadin of Loughborough University Enterprises Ltd. “We encourage anyone starting up or growing an innovative business in the region to come along to our monthly events and benefit from the excellent support on offer.”

The Marketing for Success workshop takes place on Tuesday 7 February, from 4 – 7pm at Loughborough Innovation Centre on the university campus. The workshop costs £20 per person, including refreshments. For more information, or to reserve your place, contact Emma Nadin on Tel 01509 222452 or email E.L.Nadin@lboro.ac.uk

Around 40% of Loughborough’s income is for research, and 60% for teaching. The University has been awarded five Queen's Anniversary Prizes: for its collaboration with aerospace and automotive companies such as BAE Systems, Ford and Rolls Royce; for its work in developing countries; for pioneering research in optical engineering; for its world-leading role in sports research, education and development; and for its outstanding work in evaluating and helping to develop social policy-related programmes.

In 2006 Loughborough celebrates the 40th anniversary of its University Charter, awarded on 19 April 1966 in recognition of the excellence achieved by Loughborough College of Advanced Technology and its predecessor Colleges. Loughborough University of Technology was renamed Loughborough University in 1996.
