Lucky duo scoop Loughboroughs
Lotto-style jackpot! Two hundred people have now signed
up to the Club, paying a fee of £25 per year. For this small contribution,
each member is eligible to take part in ten monthly draws for a £50
prize, the £500 November prize, and the bumper Christmas draw of
£1,000. The remaining funds help to support Loughboroughs
sports scholars. The sports scholarship scheme provides
financial and in-kind support to help talented Loughborough students succeed
in both their sporting and academic development. Past and present Loughborough
Sports Scholars include Commonwealth gold medallists and world record
holders Paula Radcliffe, hurdler Chris Rawlinson, and swimmer James Gibson.
This years November and December
draws were made on 28 November by Caroline Nash from Gill Cooke Personnel
Ltd, which, for the last two years, has generously matched all individual
250 Club donations pound for pound, helping the scheme to generate over
£8,000 for Loughboroughs sports scholars. The 250 Club is a great way for
us to raise funds for the sports scholarship scheme, and Gill Cookes
generous matched funding is fantastic, said Development Executive
Lisa Farmer, who raises funds for Loughborough Sport. ends For further information
