Campus facilities and activities
The facilities and amenities on the University campus are quite outstanding and a great many of them are available for local community use.
The University’s reputation in the sporting arena is well known to many. A huge range of sports and recreation activities are catered for with the enthusiastic amateur and casual user in mind, as well as the dedicated or elite performer. You can also see top class sporting performers in action with a variety of sporting fixtures open to spectators each week.
Many top class arts performers visit the town and the University’s excellent arts facilities make a significant contribution to the huge range of very special concerts, events and arts activities on offer. There is also a regular programme of lectures and seminars available, many free of charge.
The list of facilities also includes a great range of food outlets, venues for functions of almost any type and the library is also open to local users as well as students.
