Learning Technology materials at Loughborough

We have one of the UK's largest collections of fully-functional, networked LT materials. These materials are accessed from a dedicated server which can be reached from any networked PC on campus, including student-owned PCs in halls of residence.

We have two central servers which supply LT materials:

central LT server
learn server
Software managed by
Flexible Learning
Computing Services
Materials majority are highly-interactive simulations, tutorials and multimedia teaching packages produced outside the university e.g. by TLTP projects module-based materials provided by staff involved in teaching the module.
Technology used Novell NDS World Wide Web
Name \\FLA\CAL\FLI learn.lboro.ac.uk

To use the central LT server from your PC, you need to install the server access software.

A full list of everything on the server can be viewed on-line.

Most of this material has been written specially for the HE sector, and in many cases there is additional documentation available for lecturers wishing to incorporate computer-based material in their courses. Click here for a list of the available documentation.
The software is often the responsibility of a member of staff in a sponsoring department, and he/she will be pleased to discuss their usage of these programs.
