Teaching and Learning Innovation

This newsletter was started by Flexible Learning in the spring of 1999. It is distributed to all members of the teaching staff, and features articles describing how innovative methods of teaching and learning have been implemented at Loughborough.

The stories are written as far as possible in the style of the members of staff, and aim to relate their experiences from a teacher's point of view. It is hoped that other members of staff can relate to these experiences, and might be encouraged to adopt innovative practices of their own as a result.

The first six issues are being produced on paper, since they are in part aimed at members of staff who may not frequent the Web. Subsequent issues are likely to be Web-only.

Issues published so far are available as Acrobat files:
Issue 1: Ian Reid (Geography) and Willy Sher (Civil and Building Eng)
Issue 2: Alec Hargreaves (European Studies) and the learn server team
Issue 3: Joe Ward (Mathematical Sciences) and the TLTP roundup (Eng TLSC)
Issue 4: Assessment Special edition
Issue 5: Distance Learning Special edition
Issue 6: New Initiatives in Learning and Teaching
