CAL Usage at Loughborough

The graphs on the links below compare the Autumn terms of 1998 and 1999. A brief summary is:

  • Use of CAL from the central LT server increased by 100% in 1999. This is in addition to the use of the Web-based resources on the learn server.

  • The impact of CAL being an embedded part of a module shows up clearly in departments such as Geography, Maths and Civil & Building Engineering.

  • A significant amount of CAL usage is in the evenings, and only a minority of this activity is from PCs in halls of residence.

  • The number of networked PCs in halls doubled in 1999. Now 1303 students in halls have a networked PC of their own.
