Researcher skills development
The Graduate School provides a wide portfolio of opportunities for research students to develop their skills. Our aim is to help students develop a broad range of skills that will assist their research and transfer into their future careers.
The provision includes workshops, online courses, and a range of other training programmes. The subject areas covered include skills within research practice and context, through to career management, communication and personal effectiveness.
Research students are encouraged by the Research Councils and by Loughborough University to make the most of this provision in order to develop specific research skills and wider transferrable skills. It will also encourage students to think about the value of research skills in their application to the wider employment market.
