Where Are We?

The main Chaplaincy Centre is in the Brockington Building - Room B003, on the University Campus (opposite the Brockington pitches), Central Park (see campus guide, building B56). The Centre has a Chapel, which is open daily and is used for worship and various group meetings, offices and a library. The Administration Office is open every weekday morning between 9.00am and 1.00pm where you will usually be able to find one of the chaplains or the Chaplaincy Administrator. Do feel free to call in. If you want to book the Chapel for a meeting, contact us at the office address below

Chapel

– The chapel is a room designated for Christian Worship, for staff and students.  Every weekday morning it is used for prayer and in the evening it is usually being used by one of the various student group. Feel free to visit the chapel anytime, as a quite place of sanctuary or go along to any of the activities (see chapel timetable). If you want to have a meeting or service in the chapel then speak to one of the chaplains so we can put it in the diary.

Muslim Prayer Room

– In James France is the Muslim Prayer room, which is fit with washing facilities, for both brothers and sisters, and a small collection of books. There are usually people around, so if your new head up and check it out.

Quite Room

– the quite room is a place for reflection, meditation and prayer whatever your faith! Use it when you need some personal space, or when a few are meeting for prayer. There is no need to book the room, just go for it!!

 Library

– The library is full of books, magazines and newspapers all related to faith issues, predominately Christian. Feel free to read a book in the chaplaincy centre, or sign it out for free and read it in your own time at home.

Open Space / Student Room

– Grab a fair-trade coffee or tea from the student room and then chill out in the display area. There is plenty of information on the notice boards and in leaflets to keep you busy. Alternatively bring your friends for a chat or badger a chaplain for some company.

Multi-Faith Room

– The chaplaincy has two multi-faith rooms. One is in the college (B019) and is a place of prayer, with some washing facilities and a small library of books on various faiths. The other room is right here in the chaplaincy centre (U008) and is the perfect place to hold small meetings or just to get together. It has a small kitchen with various facilities there too.

Offices

– The offices are where you will usually find the administrator and chaplains slaving away over some hot coffee. If you need to know anything or if your feeling lucky then feel free to pay them a visit.

Store Room

– The chaplaincy centre also has some small storage facilities, so if you part of a student group and need some storage space talk to one of the chaplains and we’ll see if we can help you out.

Garden of Remembrance

– Finally the chaplaincy has it own (very) unique garden of remembrance, situated near the admin buildings. The garden can be used as a peaceful place on campus but is also the location of many of chaplaincies services - termly plaque dedication services, in memory of staff and students associated with the university, as well as remembrance day services, etc.
