Job Hunting
There is a wealth of information available on employers: employer websites, the information we hold on file in the Careers and Employability Centre; takeaway directories (e.g. Times Top 100, Prospects and Hobsons), and searchable vacancy databases.

Employer Files
Our Employer Files are regularly updated and hold copies of any information that employers send for Loughborough students to see. This can include company brochures, vacancy adverts, annual reports, case studies, employer profiles, flyers and posters. We also include any feedback we recieve from other students who have attended an interview with the employer, and any extra information that we hold.
Employer Directories
Copies of employer publications such as the Prospects Directory, Hobsons Guide and the Times Top 100 are all available free for you to collect from the Careers and Employability Centre from the start of the Autumn Semester. Other publications include the Target Guides to various job sectors, the Guardian UK 300, Hobsons casebooks and the Inside Careers guides. The Careers and Employability Centre also has a range of magazines and publications available for you to take away. Graduate Prospects have a full range of publications.
Other Sources of Information
Employer Presentations
During the Autumn and Spring terms employers and organisations from all employment sectors come onto campus to present information about their company to students at Loughborough University . The evenings provide a useful opportunity to network with potential employers and to find out more about their company from recent graduate recruits. You will also find out further details on what the employer/organisation is looking for in potential candidates and tips on how to apply for a position. A list of Employer Presentations is available during the Autumn and Spring Term on the News and Events section.
VACANCIES - Careers Online
Careers Online has all the vacancies for this academic year, company information and links to company websites. The Careers and Employability Centre attracts over 3000 vacancies each academic year.
Alumni Career Contacts
The Careers and Employability Centre has a database of Loughborough graduates who have offered to support current students and recent graduates with their career planning. You can find out what it is like to work in a particular job role or what you need to succeed in your chosen career by contacting someone who is working in that area. Find out more by visiting our Careers Mentors page.
Recruitment agencies can be useful, particularly if you have specific skills or experience. Information on agencies and how to make the best use of them is available in the Careers Library. See also the Recruitment and Employment Confederation website to help you search for agencies, www.rec.uk.com and www.onrec.com , a magazine for online recruitment.
