On Campus Profile Raising Activities
Every year we are approached by organisations interested in organising promotional activities in addition to the events we offer. These can include a sit down meal in a local wine bar, distributing Jelly babies and/or smoothies and many more...
For example, an employer recently brought their hot air balloon onto campus to promote skills sessions they were running in the Business School during the day. This initiative also increased awareness of their graduate scheme whilst raising the profile of the company on campus.
Last year an employer asked if they could hold a pre-event demonstration to illustrate the fluidity of an individuals career within their company. The promotion focused on this message by using a team of professional free-runners in prominent outdoor areas on campus to run a choreographed routine. This not only raised the profile of the company but also helped to boost attendance at their evening presentation.
Another example is a demonstration day the Leicestershire Constabulary held last year which included dog handling, crime scene investigation and armoured vehicles. The aim of this event was to help students gain a better understanding of what life in the Police Force is like and to hopefully encourage them to apply.
