Insight into Management

Monday 19 March to Wednesday 21 March 2012

Are you looking to recruit students and graduates in the future? Would you like to promote your organisation to highly motivated Loughborough students? Are you looking at ways to keep a high profile amongst Loughborough students whilst on a tight budget during the current recession? If the answer is 'yes' you will want to know more about the Insight into Management course.

The Insight into Management 3-day intensive course aims to help over 70 penultimate year Loughborough University students across all departments, understand the issues faced by modern business managers and gain an insight into careers in management.

The course consists of a series of business simulations and personal skills challenges. Students work in teams with experienced Graduate Managers on management challenges delivered by graduate employers.  Presentations, role-play and business exercises help them to develop key skills needed for work including communication, teamwork, problem solving and time management.

How can your organization get involved?

There are several ways you can get involved and support the course.

Graduate Managers

Providing and funding a Graduate Manager to attend the course. Graduate Managers work with a group of students on the course acting as a facilitator and a coach. Typically a Graduate Manager is in a junior management role, outgoing and keen to act as an ambassador for your organisation. It is an excellent opportunity for Graduate Managers to develop key skills such as listening, negotiation, planning and coaching.

Sponsorship Opportunities

There are a number of ways you could sponsor the course:

In addition we are looking for one main course sponsor. This will enable your logo to be included on publicity material including the Careers and Employability Centre website and on some presentations during the course.
