Finding work experience is the first step towards your ideal career. Work experience is crucial as more and more employers are looking for candidates with some strong work experience as well as a good degree. Internships and placements are excellent ways of getting experience in the workplace but practically any job is useful and will give you skills to highlight in your applications.
You can gain valuable experience through vacation work, voluntary work, workshadowing, casual work and even business skills courses. Employers like to see a variety of experience in applications. Loughborough University Careers and Employability Centre also allows you to join the Employability Award which you can use to show employers all the experience you have gained whilst studying at Loughborough.
