Computer Science at Loughborough ranked 4th in The Guardian University Guide subject tables for 2018

Loughborough University has once again been ranked in the top ten in the 2018 Guardian University Guide, coming 6th overall out of the country's 121 universities.

In the subject tables, Loughborough has risen to 4th place for Computer Science & Information Systems.

The table scores each institution on a range of aspects, such as course and teaching satisfaction, the grades applicants need to secure a place, spend per student, staff to student ratio and graduate career prospects.

This year, sixteen of Loughborough’s courses are ranked in the national top 10, including Computer Science and Chemistry.

The result in the Guardian University Guide consolidates Loughborough’s position as one of the best universities in the country, coming just weeks after Loughborough was also ranked in the top ten in The UK Complete University Guide 2018.

Loughborough University Vice Chancellor Professor Robert Allison said: “The Guardian bases its league table on the factors that matter most to students, which makes our achievement in it even more rewarding. Our 6th place ranking is evidence of our continued success and is testament to the hard work that has taken place across the University.”

Computer Science at Loughborough also ranked Top 5 in the UK for overall student satisfaction in Computer Science in the 2016 National Student Survey.
