Materials Research Equipment Database

Professor Ken Parsons, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, opened the launch of the Research Equipment Database in September 2009. This informative event showcased a valuable new resource, developed by the Materials Research School with project support from engCETL. The Equipment Database is a web-based resource providing staff and students with information about the location, accessibility and detailed technical specifications of materials-related equipment across the campus. To date, over 800 pieces of equipment have been logged into the database, covering 13 departments representing all three faculties.

Materials Research School Workshops

We also run a programme of internal workshops to encourage networking and multidisciplinary research in materials across the campus. For further information please see the MRS intranet.
