The PHC were very proud to have various members of the team working at the London 2012 Paralympic Games; from games makers to sport scientists, each one thoroughly enjoyed their time in London.

Dr Barry Mason and Christof Leicht were tasked with some video analysis for the sports that do not receive a great deal of sport science support such as goalball and wheelchair fencing. Katy Griggs was a games maker for the sport of Boccia and Dr David Howe was working as a freelance journalist for organisations such as BBC 5live and Sky News.

Our director Dr Vicky Tolfrey provided sport science support to the Paralympic athletes in her role as consultant to the British Paralympic Association (BPA). Vicky was privileged to meet many of Team GB’s amazing medallists during her time in London such as Richard Whitehead and Zoey Newson (both pictured).
