News on the exercise guideline project for adults with spinal cord injury
3 July 2017
Vicky Tolfrey and Jan van der Scheer from the PHC, together with Loughborough-visiting Professor Kathleen Martin Ginis (University of British Columbia, Canada) as well as international and national colleagues, have been able to make large steps forward in the development of evidence-based scientific exercise guidelines for adults with spinal cord injury.
One major achievement was that the paper resulting from the systematic review process ‘Effects of Exercise on Fitness and Health of Adults with Spinal Cord Injury: A Systematic Review’ has recently accepted by the leading clinical neurology journal Neurology. The paper is now in press; we will keep you posted once it is available online!
Furthermore, Jan recently presented a webinar looking at the overarching process of knowledge translation and guideline development in the context of spinal cord injury - please find the recorded webinar here: https://vimeo.com/221449269
