New PhD opportunity here at the PHC

This new studentship offers the successful applicant the opportunity to explore pathways toward competitive sport for children and young people with disabilities within the School games framework. Supervised by PHC member Dr Janine Coates, the project aims to:
- To better understand how CYP with disabilities progress through the School Games competition levels to compete in the annual National School Games.
- To explore the role of local Project Ability schools in facilitating participation in sport for children with disabilities.
- To explore the impact of the School Games on children and young people with disabilities perceptions about and participation in competitive sport.
The studentship is for 3 years and will begin on 1st October, 2017. The deadline for applications is 26th June 2017.
