Dr Emily Keightley, who is a Reader in Media and Memory Studies, has been awarded a Leverhulme Trust Research Leadership Award to run a five year project on cultural memories of Partition of India.
As part of this project we have four PhD studentships available:
- Remembering Partition Online
- Embodied Partitions: Exploring Women’s Embodied Memories of the 1947 Partition of India Through Dance
- An analysis of the representation of Partition of India in the UK media from 1947 to the present day
- Animating Memory: Exploring the Intergenerational Communication of memories of the 1947 Partition of India in the British Asian Community
