Safeguarding children across services: messages from research on identifying and responding to child maltreatment

Safeguarding Children Across Services is an overview of the messages from fifteen studies jointly commissioned by the Department of Health and the Department for Education (previously the Department for Education and Skills and Department for Children, Schools and Families) following the tragic death from abuse and neglect of Victoria Climbié in 2002 and informed by further findings from the report on the death of Peter Connelly in 2007.
