EUSARF September 2014
9 June 2014

CCFR researchers will be presenting a number of research studies at the 2014 EUSARF conference in Copenhagen in September 2014.

Harriet Ward, Lisa Holmes and Samantha McDermid will be delivering a symposium with colleagues from Child and Adolescent Services Research Center, in San Diego, and from Chapin Hall University, in Chicago. The symposium will explore the costs and outcomes research programme which has been undertaken by CCFR since 2000, and the work to adapt the methodology for use in Scotland and the US. Samantha McDermid will also be presenting emerging findings from the evaluation of Head, Heart, Hands: introducing social pedagogy into UK foster care. This presentation will examine the impact that the programme has had to date on foster carers and the children and young people they care for. The unique features of developing and approach, widely used in continental Europe, in the UK will also be explored.
