Welcome to INTRAC

The International Research Network on Transitions to Adulthood from Care (INTRAC) is a world-wide network of researchers concerned with the process of transition made by young people moving to adulthood from public care. INTRAC provides a forum for researchers from all around the world to share their findings, ideas and further their understanding of the issues that young people face when making this transition, including the types of support and assistance that they find helpful and the obstacles they confront. Such collaboration provides an opportunity for countries to mutually benefit from the experiences of others, influencing the development of national policy and practice, which in turn will lead to better outcomes for young people leaving care.
