Industrie 4.0 Related Projects

Overview

Industrie 4.0 has been receiving a lot of attention across a number of industry sectors over recent years. Our research aims is to develop optimal solutions that will lead to successful implementation of Industrie 4.0 through the deployment of modern and innovative technology, along with creative processes in the systems deployed with the result of increased productivity and return on investments.

We are also researching new concepts around Industry 5.0 where smart technology enables humans and machines to collaborate simultaneously, exploiting the inherent strengths of humans and machines respectively.

Projects

We undertake specific projects for our research partners. Inevitably, there is a need to restrict what can be publically released through online media.

  • The following is only a sample of the projects that will be made available in due course:
  • ENVISAGE – Enhanced Visual Analytics Insights for Systems and Big Data Engineering
  • Novel techniques to provide force feedback in a 3D immersive environment
  • Analysis of the user acceptance of a novel transportation concept through use of a digital twin and its immersive environment
  • Multi-sensory fusion for autonomous vehicles
  • Evaluation into the effectiveness of using AR Technologies to aid Service Technicians
  • Human - machine intervention for future autonomous vehicles
  • Utility of augmented reality within an engineering context

Other projects will be added in due course.
