  • EPSRC e-Science Reality Grid

A major EPSRC grant was awarded to a consortium of universities and collaborating institutions under the U.K. government's initiative on e-Science. RealityGrid (GR/R67699/01 and GR/R67699/02) was one of the six pilot projects funded by this grant. The main four-year grant for RealityGrid ended on 30 November 2005. RealityGrid continued to be funded as an EPSRC Platform Grant (EP/C536452/1) through 2009.

  • Systems Integration Network Uncertainty (SINU)

SINU is a pilot study for a new approach to analyse the risk of time scale overruns in large scale systems integration projects. This approach assumes that overruns occur within even the best managed project and aims to analyse the inter business factors that contribute to the overruns.

  • Advanced Collaborative Environments for Distributed Systems Engineering Teams

Research is being undertaken to develop optimal methods for linking geographically distributed teams of people in a way that allows collective decision making to be undertaken.
