University hosts Investment Ready Day for local businesses

Loughborough University is hosting an Investment Ready Day to help local businesses identify the best way to prepare for and attract funds for growth, on Friday 20 February.

The Investment Ready Day takes place at Burleigh Court, Loughborough University’s four-star conference centre and hotel. The event aims to help local businesses as well as those from its innovation community in the Studio and Innovation Centre on its Science and Enterprise Parks. It will consist of 30 minute sessions where experts in different areas of funding and investment – including business angels, peer to peer lending and bank loans – will talk through the key preparations to raise funds.

The day begins at 9am with round table sessions running through until 6pm, with a buffet lunch included.  Businesses can then prepare their pitch with an expert tutorial and enjoy networking and sharing experiences with their peers.

The Investment Ready Day is hosted by the Studio, Loughborough University’s multiple award-winning graduate commercialisation hub, and generously sponsored by Santander.

It is free to attend, with refreshments provided throughout the day. Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Further details and registration is available online.
