Regenerative Medicine Value Systems and Business Models: Navigating the Uncertainties

An improved understanding of how to navigate four key uncertainties:

in the emerging RM industry was developed and communicated through specific outputs, in particular: identification of the regulatory options along with the time/cost to market for exemplar products; elucidiation of the reimbursement frameworks for both public and private payers; an indication of the ideal investment conditions and individual business strategies; and an indication of technical and clinical requirements for success and identification of areas of public policy that require further debate. A value systems simulation model representing the main tasks observed in cell therapy new product development (NPD), which allows for predictive estimation of time and cost to market for cellular therapy product and the business risk profile for cell therapy NPD processes, was developed at Loughborough.

State-of-the-art facility

The facility is made up of a suite of Class 2 laboratories for cell growth, a bioelectrical facility and an analytical suite to service all laboratories.
