Travelling to Loughborough

Loughborough is the largest town in Leicestershire, which is in the East Midlands. Main line road and rail networks link Loughborough directly with the rest of the country and the town itself is served by excellent bus services.

By road

Loughborough University is less than two miles away from junction 23 of the M1 motorway.

By rail

London is one-and-a-half hours away by train, Birmingham one hour and Manchester and Leeds around two hours. Taxis are normally available from outside Loughborough train station and the journey should cost around £5 - £6.

The University Shuttle bus, the Kinchbus sprint service, commences from Loughborough Railway Station and brings you straight to campus. This service runs every 10 minutes in term time (every 15 minutes during holiday periods) and there is an alighting point at the entrance to Holywell Park.

By air

Nottingham East Midlands Airport is only 7 miles away and offers both domestic and international flights. For destinations and a full timetable contact the East Midlands Airport Information Desk: +44 (0)871 919 9000.
