LISU is an internationally renowned research and information centre for library and information services, based in the at Loughborough University. We collect, analyse, interpret, and publish statistical information for and about the library domain in the UK, and undertake research and consultancy projects for a wide range of organisations.
LISU in the future
Following a strategic review of activities in information management, information science and information systems, the University has approved the establishment of a Centre for Information Management to be based in the School of Business and Economics. LISU and its staff will move to the new Centre in 2013, and will continue to engage actively in research and consultancy for information, academic and cultural services. Our current range of activities will continue, and we expect to expand the range of projects we are able to undertake, by drawing on the expertise of staff from the Centre, the School, and the University as a whole.
