Funding and Innovation Opportunities with High Performance Computing

HPC Midlands, the East Midlands Regional Centre of Excellence for High Performance Computing (HPC), is proud to welcome researchers and industry representatives to learn about collaboration, funding and innovation opportunities in key sectors for the region.

Hosted on the Loughborough University Science & Enterprise Park HPC Midlands is in a unique position to pair its advanced supercomputing facility and University experts across many disciplines with industry looking for a low-cost, low-risk method to speed their time to market, achieve more ambitious products or secure burst-out capacity.

This Industry Breakfast will particularly showcase the power of HPC in delivering innovation and competitive advantages, and how to connect those advantages with collaboration, funding and innovation opportunities within Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing, Energy and Life Sciences.

About HPC Midlands

About HPC Midlands

HPC Midlands is an EPSRC Regional Centre for Excellence in High Performance Computing.

The Centre is based around cloud access to a 3,008 core supercomputer, Hera, hosted securely on the Loughborough University Science & Enterprise Park. We add unlimited technical support and a network of local experts in software development, computer-aided design, product prototyping, research analysis and funding to make innovation possible regardless of prior experience.

With high-speed interconnect and big-data disk storage capability Hera is designed to achieve rapid results on small or large scale computational problems and encourage more ambitious modelling and simulation. Clients include universities, research organisations and private industry across the country who are achieving market opportunities faster and cheaper than ever before. More information on Hera’s technical specifications, our partners and case studies can be found on our website.
