Amy Allwright Homeware

Amy Allwright Homeware – born of designer-maker Amy Humphreys’ passion for combining old-fashioned charm with modern practicality – provides a range of beautiful hand-crafted homewares and accessories as well as bespoke commissions.

Amy’s two printed fabric collections – Elina and Evette – reflect her love of English heritage and tradition – but with a contemporary twist. Both feature a range of products including various styles of pinnies, kitchen textiles, and mobile and tablet covers as well as relaxation aids such as warming wheatbags.

All of Amy’s fabrics are hand-printed and creations, handmade. This means that her products sit at the high end of the market. She is exploring the possibility of outsourcing some of the work so that she can launch a more competitively priced range.

Currently, Amy does the majority of her business online, but she also trades via a handful of independent boutiques predominantly across the East Midlands. She is gearing up to get her range into outlets nationwide, in shops like the National Trust, and in January embarked on her first trade show to network with buyers.

It wasn’t just any trade show. Amy was one of just 12 companies selected to appear at Spotted – a showcase of new UK designers – part of Top Drawer at Earl’s Court in London – the UK’s leading event for design-led gifts, lifestyle and fashion accessories.
