The E2HS project was cited as an example of collaborative research the 2008 Engineer Innovation Award, made to the Sports Technology Institute for its support for industry.
Public understanding of science & engineering
The research to optimise sprint spikes for the individual athlete was selected by the Institute of Engineering Technology as a case study to encourage school children to become engineers. A short documentary film, starring our researchers and describing the project is available on the IET website, as part of the IET's Faraday initiative.
