Loughborough retains its 13th place ranking in Times Good University Guide 2016

Loughborough University has maintained its position as one of the country’s leading higher education institutions, holding onto its 13th place out of 123 UK universities in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016.

The guide, published in this Sunday’s (20 September) newspaper, ranks universities on eight key criteria – student satisfaction, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, services and facilities spend, and drop-out rates.

In the subject tables, Loughborough is ranked top for Librarianship and Information Management. Twelve other subject areas are ranked in the top ten.

Loughborough’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Robert Allison, said he was delighted that the University has maintained its strong position.

He added: “We are incredibly proud of the unique environment we have created at Loughborough. Working in partnership with our Students’ Union we provide our students with not only the best educational experience but also an amazing life experience, giving them all the skills they need to be the very best they can be.

“This latest ranking in the Good University Guide 2016 further cements Loughborough’s position as one of the country’s top universities.”

Loughborough continues to be in the top 15 of all three national university league tables, after an 11th place ranking in both the Complete University Guide and Guardian University Guide earlier this year. It also remains the East Midlands’ top university.
