Halloween Cheap Thrills! Zero Budget Film Festival

The CheapThrills! Zero Budget Film Festival is back for a third year in Loughborough with a Halloween special later this month.

LU Arts are inviting staff, students and members of the community to enjoy a frightfully fun weekend of free film screenings, workshops and the chance to make and star in your own film.

Guests will learn filming techniques and use equipment to make 2D animation, create films using motion, live action, green screen and editing software. They will also be invited to take part in Tabletop Filmmaking workshops.

The Cheap Thrills! Zero Budget Film Festival has grown each year and aims to showcase local talent. It now operates annually and offers two fantastic chances for filmmakers and audiences to celebrate their mutual love of film for free.

The event is running on Saturday 31 October from 10am – 5pm at Market Town Corner, Carillon Court Shopping Centre, Loughborough. It is free to attend but booking is required.

Under 18s must be accompanied by a participating adult. Guests are asked to bring cameras or camera phones, a USB stick, outline of a story and a sense of fun along with them to the event.
