Loughborough leaps to 2nd in Times Higher Student Education Experience Survey
Loughborough University secured 2nd place in the 2015 Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey.
The survey revealed answers of around 14,700 students from across the UK who were questioned on a range of aspects of student life including the quality of courses, support available to students and student accommodation.
In this year’s survey, Loughborough University’s facilities were rated best in the country with the University ranked number one in both the High Quality Facilities and Good Sports Facilities categories. Loughborough Students’ Union was also rated highly, securing joint second place.
The university was also ranked it joint third place for its social life and its extra-curricular activities and societies.
In total, Loughborough was ranked in the top ten in 14 of the survey’s 22 categories.
Commenting on Loughborough’s achievement, Professor Robert Allison, the University’s Vice Chancellor, said: “This is a fantastic achievement. We work closely with our Students’ Union to ensure that we provide an all-round experience that equips our students for every aspect of their life and career. This poll is well-deserved recognition of the continued hard work of everyone at the University and at the Students’ Union in delivering a first-class experience.”
